5 pm Intro to Python – Bill

Today We:

1. Started learning about the Turtle module in python
2. Learned how to move the turtle pen tool to make lines
3. Learned how to make the pen tool start and stop drawing
4. Made a simple square
5. Learned how to change the color of the background and pen
6. Learned how to fill the square
7. Put the code for the square in its own function to keep things more organized

Your HW:

1. Go to project resources and find the Shapes in Grid image (Link)
2. Make 3 new Functions: triangle, rectangle, and octagon
3. Put the code in each of the functions to draw that shape from the image
4. Make sure to call the function to make the code in them run
