3 PM – Scratch Level 2 – Allison

Today we:

• Reviewed the last homework
• Continued the Spaceship 2.0 project
• Coded Asteroid clones to delete when touching the Fireball clones
• Added the Bomb sprite
• Coded Bomb clones to be created when the key b is pressed
• Coded Bomb clones to move up, switch costumes, change sizes, and change color effect

Homework:

• Code Asteroid clones to delete when touching the Bomb clones
• Create a new sprite (see image below for reference) and name it “Fireball Power-up”
  1. Hide the sprite
  2. Code the sprite to create a clone every three seconds
  3. Code the clones to show and start at random x-positions on the top edge (Hint: look at the codes that make the Star clones start at the top edge)
  4. Code the clones to have random sizes
  5. Code the clones to move downwards after being created
  6. Delete the clones if they reach the bottom edge. You cannot use the code “if touching edge”. If you need help, look at the codes that make the Star clones delete when it reaches the bottom edge
