3 PM – Scratch Level 2 – Allison

Today we:

1. Continued the Jumpy Monkey project
2. Added a background
3. Added Level 2, where there are more bananas and a dinosaur flying on the screen
4. Created a banner to show when the player finishes the game
5. Displayed how many launches the player used to finish the game

Important Information:

1. There are new homework rules. After you finish your homework in Scratch, you have to send an email the night before the day of the class.
2. Since our class is on Saturday, send an email to allison@ayclogic.com by Friday 8 PM. In that email, write down your name and a link to your shared Scratch project homework. Make sure to share your Scratch project.
3. To celebrate Easter, there will be no classes from Friday 4/15 to Sunday 4/17. Our next class will be on Saturday 4/23, so please send your email by Friday 4/22 8 PM.

1. Natalie: Please click on this link to see the Jumpy Monkey project from class. Please see the Game Finished Banner sprite and see if there are any codes you have to add/change.
2. Anyone who is missing any codes or has any errors with their Jumpy Monkey project: Please click on this link to check your codes with these codes.
3. Kevin: Please click on this link to see the Cheese Chase project from class. Please remix this project so you can refer to it if you ever need to.
4. Everyone: Code the Monkey sprite to start the sound “boing” when the player presses the space key.
5. Everyone: Code the Banana clone to start the sound “chomp” when the banana clone touches the Monkey sprite.
