7 PM – Intro to Python – David

Topics covered in class today:

• We reviewed the homework covering Python string methods such as .lower(), .title(), and .upper()
• We learned about if statements and else statements (conditional statements). We also worked with equality (==), inequality (!=) and learned about greater than (>), less than (<), greater than or equal to (>=), etc.

Homework:

• Go over pages 79 – 81 in the textbook
• Page 84: 5-3, 5-4
• Create a new variable called age which will be an integer. If age is greater than or equal to 18, print “You are old enough to vote!” and “Have you registered to vote yet?” Otherwise, print “Sorry, you are too young to vote.” and “Please register to vote when you turn 18!”.
