9:30 AM – Scratch 1 – Yitong

Today we:

1. Started the Dino Dance project.
2. Made the first Dinosaur sprite change to the next costume when the space key is pressed.
3. Made the second Dinosaur sprite switch between costumes A and D forever.
4. Made the third Dinosaur sprite switch between costumes A and D while moving back and forth across the screen forever.
5. Learned about direction.

Homework:

1. HOMEWORK IS DUE FRIDAY NIGHT!! Please submit by emailing your homework to: yitong@ayclogic.com and Mr. Gamas’s email: gamas@ayclogic.com
   • Don’t forget to share your project, otherwise, I won’t be to see your code.
   • Don’t forget to include the project link in the email. Otherwise, I cannot see your project.
   • If you need help, scroll down. I included a tutorial on how to submit homework. If you still need help, ask your parents.
2. Read and do pages 43-44, #25-28 in your pink coding book.
   • If you do not have the book yet, please follow the instructions in the images below.

How to submit homework:

1. Click on the link at the top of your screen.
   • 
2. Highlight the complete link including the numbers at the end. Then right-click on the link and click “Copy.”
   • 
3. Open your email and click on the “Compose” button at the top left of the screen. You should see a white box pop up in the bottom right corner.
   • 
4. In the white message box, right-click in the empty space then click “Paste.”
   • 
5. Go to the webpage where you get your homework and highlight the email in bold. Right-click on the highlighted email and click “Copy.”
   • 
6. Now back to the message box and click on the place that says “Recipients.” Right-click the empty space next to where it says “To” and click “Paste”.
   • 
7. When you are done, the message box should look like this. It is okay to not put a subject. When you have my email address at the top and the link to your Scratch project in the blank space, click the blue “Send” button. When I receive your email, I will reply and send you feedback.
